Dr Megbuwawon survived a shooting that left him carrying bullet fragments still in his body today. How much do I need to start?+

There's no big lump sum to find. You start contributing in small, regular amounts — the minimum is ₦500 — on whatever schedule you agree with the hospital.

What happens if I miss a contribution?+

Your card simply reflects where you are — missing a week doesn't cancel your balance. Speak with the Ajo Health desk if you need to adjust your schedule.

Can my balance cover a family member's care?+

Yes — members can add immediate family to their contribution card so the balance can be drawn on for their care too. Ask the front desk to set this up.

Is Ajo Health the same as insurance or an HMO?+

No — it's a contribution and savings plan run directly with Orange Hospital, not an insurance policy. If you have HMO cover as well, let the front desk know so it's recorded correctly.

How do I join?+

Visit the front desk at Orange Hospital and ask for the Ajo Health enrolment form, or call ahead and staff will hold a slot for your first visit.
